Rochelle Matthews
Rochelle's background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Political Science and a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Rochelle began her musical career at Digital Music Express (a previous incarnation of today’s DMX) in 1997. She learned the business very quickly as a Music Director where she took her love of music to a new realm. While at Digital Music Express, she started a program called Holiday’s N’ Happenings. It emphasized music of the current holiday or happening such as Cinco de Mayo, St. Patrick’s Day or even Halloween for commercial applications. In 2000, she became the Vice President of Music Programming for Musicplex, Inc. a residential and commercial web-based streaming media entertainment company. In 2002 she was the Vice President of Music Programming for Music Imaging & Media, Inc. a subscription based music provider. In 2002 her desire to be closer to the music brought Rochelle back to DMX as a music designer. Rochelle melds her marketing and musical expertise by creating musical experiences and aligning client brand values with sound.
