Deidre Gott eats, breathes and sleeps music. Getting her start in commercial radio at KHFI as on-air talent, she quickly picked up programming duties and found she had a knack for early selection of the “hits,” helping break artists such as The Killers and Franz Ferdinand. But it wasn’t until she held the Music Director position at a music video channel that her passion for exposing the newest, freshest, up-and-coming artists came into full vision.
Deidre has over 7 years of experience in the music industry, with responsibilities ranging from music programming in commercial and non-commercial radio, concert production and promotion, music television, artist management and even a fun stint working at the acclaimed Austin independent record store, Waterloo Records. When not providing the perfect soundtrack to DMX customers, Deidre contributes to and supports the Austin music scene as on-air talent at Alternative Rock station KROX while producing their long-running monthly concert series, Homegrown Live. She also volunteers at community run KOOP, hosting the local music show Around The Town Sounds.
